STORYTELLING across media
I was tasked with helping create, brand and promote a new telemedicine app with integrated prescription discount program for Hooray Healthcare.
WHAT MARKET RESEARCH TOLD US
Part-time workers without benefits, service workers, freelance workers, and gig workers made up a large part of our audience. They all know getting sick might mean not getting paid, so staying well is a concern.
Telemedicine is very convenient to use by parents with small children who may not be able to easily get to the doctor.
People getting sick while traveling was also a key pain point. It’s not uncommon to get sick on vacation in a new locale, and the telemedicine was available nationwide. The prescription finder and discount app was really handy away from home as it shows the best prescription deals in your area.
There’s been a sharp rise of people using “Dr. Google” to self diagnose and treat and we could show them an affordable way to get treatment from a board-licensed physician.
Branding and voice
Logo concept: Modern and simple, and needed to convey the act of communicating.
Story concept: You have better places to be than the waiting room. Get better, so you can get back to what’s important.
Website and social media concept: I wanted to tell that story about better places to be, from different perspectives. A better place for a gig worker could be out working, while a parent’s better place might be at home telling bedtime stories.
Visual concept: Photos of relatable experiences being sick, and I wanted to incorporate stylized smart phone elements with doctors on them to show a very simple idea of the user journey at a glance.
We created a couple of different categories of post for social media.
WellCall was actually cheaper than some purchases our audience might make everyday. You get a month’s worth of calls for less than a burrito with guac, or a streaming service subscription.
Did you know…Facts about telemedicine and our state of healthcare in general. Ex: many people in rural areas don’t have access to a doctor.

Story concept: You have better places to be than the waiting room.
